James' Epiphany

Hi Dave,
      I had an epiphany recently, and realized that all of the things that I have placed importance on in life are really of no importance. I have found that I have sacrificed substance of life for quality of life. In doing so, I have denied my true self. How have I allowed selfishness and pride to rule my life, rather than my heart? Somehow I have managed to live my twenty seven years without taking the time to know myself. My truth is that I don't yet know the true passions of my heart.
      As a result, I find that I am extremely discontent with my life. So, I have decided it necessary to take immediate action as my priorities in life have suddenly shifted. With nothing more than blind faith, I'm changing my life focus and direction. In doing so, I have discovered and accepted that I truly am an extraordinarily gifted individual who is passionate and artistic.
      My belief is that through artistic self-discovery, I will develop further the life tools necessary to experience a more fulfilled life and the ability to share that fulfillment with others. My desire is to positively impact the life of each person that I encounter.
      With this change in focus and direction, making life in the Hollywood community has become a necessity. My new focus is to develop artistically, and I hope to attend The American Academy of Dramatic Arts next semester. My intent is to find a home that will be conducive to my artistic development, which ironically has me writing this essay.
