I am not a developer, not an investor, not an apartment building owner, not a management company, not a capitalist. I am a PRESERVATIONIST and RESTORER.
I will continue to do what I do no matter who tries to stop me. When you love what you do, and do your best, you sometimes become an expert. Naturally, when you do what you love, success is not far behind. It is not important for me to be liked. And, yes, I get a few ‘haters’, jealous, envy, egotistical know-it-alls, but mostly I get admirers who are grateful for the beautiful restoration work we do in an effort to preserve a piece of the history of Los Angeles. What is so special about our work? The dedication, the passion, the limitless attention to details and the fact that everything is original and does not look like it was just redone yesterday. Remember, this is your home and, if done right, you will always remember and cherish where you lived during this part of your life. We are willing to help you find a good place to live, even if it’s not in one of our buildings. Why? Because we are always looking at buildings and areas of interest; working in the industry of restoring historical properties. And we do not mind sharing our knowledge for free. The reason we do this is because we want to teach people what we have already spent so long learning. We do not want to be selfish with our knowledge; we hope you could find something nice in one of our properties, but sometimes it’s just not your fate, or the timing is not right. We find usually that we rent to you at a later time, or to one of your friends that you referred to us. We believe that all our hard work will last for many lifetimes, and many people will be able to appreciate the dedication of saving the history that was developed in the early days of Los Angeles. |
